Abstract

Selective functionalization of C(sp3[Formula presented] bonds is one of the final frontiers of synthetic chemistry. The employment of organic dyes (ODs) as visible light photocatalysts to approach these reactions has been of current interest mainly due to their lower cost and the avoidance of toxic heavy metals. In this digest, we outline the recent advances in organic dye-catalyzed C(sp3[Formula presented] functionalization reactions.
