Abstract

This paper presents a new approach to identifying the well test interpretation that describes the behaviour of a reservoir. A knowledge based system (expert system) of rules and facts for build up and draw down test analysis simulating the reasoning process used by an expert has been developed. The paper explains the application of this new approach by analysing two field examples.
