Abstract

THE DRAG-REDUCING PHENOMENON ASSOCIATED WITH STEADY AND PULSED TURBULENT FLOW HAS BEEN CHARACTERIZED USING MEASUREMENTS FROM FLUSH MOUNTED ANEMOMETER PROBES.THE USE OF THE SURFACE RENEWAL AND PENETRATION MODEL IS DISCUSSED IN THE CORRELATION OF RESULTS FOR NEWTONIAN FLUIDS AND DRAG REDUCING SOLUTIONS.(A)
