Abstract

Functionalization of linkers of robust UiO-66-NH2 MOFs is performed by a post-synthetic modification process. The chemical modifications of linkers, an extension of conjugation by several organic molecules, are authenticated by PXRD, NMR and IR characterization techniques. Diffuse reflectance UV–Vis spectroscopic studies showed significant variation in their optical absorption properties, and computational methods validate these results.
