Abstract
Cellulose nitrate (LR-115 Kodak and CR-39) has been used as detectors to study the airborne alpha-activity inside houses by two different techniques (air sampler and can technique). It has been used also to study the emanation from different building materials and the efficiency of different paints in reducing the emanation. While the counting projector and screen were used for counting the tracks from each type of detector.
