Abstract

The concentrations of Pb, Cu, Ni, Zn, Fe, Mn, Cd, Co and Cr in raisins, grapes and soil samples from Incesu-Kayseri were determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) after digestion. The accuracy of the methods was confirmed by certified reference materials (SRM 2710 Montana Soil and NIST SRM 1515 Apple Leaves). The maximum trace element levels were found to be 732 μg/g (Fe), 2600 μg/g (Mn), 48 ng/g (Zn), 34 μg/g (Pb), 41 μg/g (Ni), 38 ng/g (Cr), 24 μg/g (Cu), 34 μg/g (Co), and 4.0 μg/g (Cd) for soil samples; 62 (xg/g (Fe), 61 μg/g (Mn), 28 μg/g (Zn), and 9.8 μg/g (Cu) for raisin samples; 14.8 μg/g (Fe), 41.8 μg/g (Mn), 20.4 μg/g (Zn), 1.6 μg/g (Ni), 0.6 μg/g (Cr), and 2.4 μg/g (Cu) μg/g for grape samples from Incesu. The concentrations of trace metals were dependent on grape and soil species. Some of the analyzed samples were accumulated with trace heavy metals.
