Abstract

The paper investigates the incorporation of time-weighted linear quadratic regulator (TWLQR) state and output feedback control for power system dynamic stability problems. The effectiveness of the TWLQR control is shown for a single machine infinite bus (SMIB) system. The simulation results show that the TWLQR control is superior to linear quadratic regulator (LQR) control for both state and output feedback cases.
