Abstract
This chapter overviews major issues pertaining to stability and stabilization of time-delay control systems. Fundamental analytical results are provided. The overview sheds light on the contemporary development on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) techniques in deriving delay-dependent stability results for time-delay systems. Particular emphases are placed on issues concerned with the conservatismand the computational complexity of the results.
