Abstract

We have calculated the effect of impurity scattering on the low-temperature dependence of the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate for a two-dimensional superconductor with dx2-y2 symmetry. Impurity scattering in the T-matrix approximation is considered for different values of the phase shift. It is shown that strong impurity scattering profoundly affects the low-temperature dependence of the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation time, T1.
