Abstract
planning for education in construction oriented programs in Saudi Arabia, requires a reasonablv accurate picture of the demand for the graduates of these programs. An important source of information to form such a picture of the demand for the graduate, and subsequently their programs, is the student enrollment statistics in these programs. Recently, however, it was noted that the enrollment in such programs, experienced cycles of fluctuations, which were thought to be caused by the labor market demand. It is expected that national development plans have greatly influenced the demand for such professions, therefore, affecting the enrollment in such programs. I n this study, we have attempted to establish the link between the national development plans, and the enrollment in construction oriented programs, in Saudi Arabia. The objective would be to facilitate planning properly for such programs.
