Abstract

To improve the quality of education and to enhance the professional productivity of the instructors, the latest technologies are required to be adopted and integrated into the educational system. A sound understanding of cultural interaction with computing environments could lead to better acceptance of IT in the country. Thus, this chapter examined the adoption of technology in the cultural context of higher educational institutions. We also discussed Saudi culture, cultural theories, Hofstede’s cultural dimensions, and technology adoption models.
