Abstract
The mixed model assembly line balancing problems (MALB) involve the assignment of similar tasks of different products to the same station. This has been handled either by combining or grouping these similar tasks and assigning the combined tasks, or by assigning the group of tasks to the same station regardless of whether it requires the creation of additional station(s). This paper presents a methodology to assign these tasks to the same station without increasing the number of stations.
