Abstract

This paper presents the singular value decomposition (SVD) based codebook design criteria to accurately recover the channel of the users. Therefore, these codebooks make possible to utilize the interference reduction aided preprocessing techniques for practical purpose as in the HetNet environment. The system-level simulations verify that the proposed SVD based codebooks recover more accurate channel state information (CSI) because the performance of non-linear Tomlinson-Harashima (TH) precoding is better than zero forcing (ZF) precoding for the same number of feedback bits.
