Abstract

(Chemical Equation Presented) More than just curiosities: The synthesis and characterization of a stable benzo[c]-tellurophene are presented. Te-Te interactions are shown to be one of the main driving forces for the crystal-packing properties of this electron-rich benzo[c]-tellurophene; furthermore, investigation of its pyroelectric properties reveals a secondary pyroelectric effect.
