Abstract
The synthesis of high-performance magnesium-based composites is discussed. Magnesium based composites with metallic reinforcements (Cu, Ni and Ti) reveals that enhanced physical and mechanical properties can be realized from these materials when compared to their conventional counterparts. Analysis shows that these high performance materials can be synthesized using a cost-effective and enviornment-friendly disintegrated melt deposition technique.
