Abstract

Fabrication of superhydrophobic coatings on Mg alloys is a highly desirable approach to tackle their weak aqueous corrosion resistance. This chapter provides an account of superhydrophobic coatings fabricated based on chemical and electrochemical conversion coatings. Single and multistep approaches in developing superhydrophobic surfaces are discussed.
