Abstract

We have made an exploratory experiment studying the 3He+ 3He → 6Li* + π+ reaction very close to threshold. The measurement was done at the CELSIUS storage ring. The 6Li ions were detected in a zero-degree spectrometer equipped with solid state detectors.
