Abstract

A non-isothermal mathematical model is proposed to simulate the radial concentration gradients of solid reacting particles around a feed point of a large and shallow fluidized bed with multiple feed points, used for wood flash pyrolysis. The influence of the key operating parameters and reaction kinetics on the unreacted wood concentration profiles is delineated. (A)
