Abstract
In this work, we prove the arbitrary stabilization of the energy associated to a flexible marine riser with the vessel surface. A pipeline is made from a viscoelastic material. To attenuate the vibrations of this structure, we suppose a boundary control and we use the multiplier technique. The partial differential equation and boundary conditions of this system are obtained by use of Hamilton’s principle.
