Abstract
A mathematical model is presented for the measured hair cell transducer function. Using this model analytical expressions are obtained for predicting the spectral response of the hair cell stimulated by a multitone displacement signal of arbitrary amplitudes. These expressions are in terms of the ordinary Bessel functions with arguments dependent on the amplitudes of the input displacement.
