Abstract
A case of a 12 year-old girl with acute lymphoblastic leukemia who developed sagittal and transverse sinus thrombosis without any clinical and laboratory evidence of coagulopathy is presented. Diagnosis was made with magnetic resonance imaging, and she was treated with heparin infusion, and consequent oral coumadin. Previous reports of the central nervous system complications of agents used in the treatment of leukemia are reviewed, and possible causes are discussed.
