Abstract
A rock physics based seismic interpretation workflow for organic rich low porosity mudrocks has been developed. The workflow focuses on reducing the number of petrophysical variables and adding equations that are site-specific and derived from the relationship between different rock petrophysical properties. The workflow was applied to wireline data and the upscaled data (seismic scale). The method shows promising results in predicting porosity, kerogen content, and mineralogy.
