Abstract
This paper encourages the wider use of robots in the construction industry. The slow progress in robotizing the construction industry is attributed to the dynamic nature of construction processes. Robotization of construction projects will increase productivity, improve product quality, and improve safety. The paper discusses those factors that enhance the robotization of construction processes. Areas of robotic applications are reviewed and construction processes that are candidates for robotization are identified. The paper also presents some of the existing examples of robotic prototypes.
