The massive urbanization in Saudi Arabia which result in importation of large quantities of expensive water into urban environment was discussed. The hydrological changes which occur due to urbanization involved an increase in surface runoff and rise in local water table. The surface runoff and subsurface drainage were collected by storm drainage network and were discharged through main outlets into wadies that infiltrated or evaporated. The qualitative and quantitative aspects of surface and subsurface drainage in cities of Saudi Arabia determined the reuse potential and estimated magnitude of problem of rising water table.
