Retraction notice to “Support based metal incorporated layered nanomaterials for photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants” [Environ. Res. 260 (2024) 119481] (Environmental Research (2024) 260, (S0013935124013860), (10.1016/j.envres.2024.119481))

This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor. Various unauthorised authorship changes were made when the revised version of this paper was submitted, following suggestions for relatively minor revisions from the reviewers and Guest Editor, with authors Safia Khan, Hu Li and Zaib Ul Nisa being added at first revision, alongside a fourth author who was deleted at third revision stage. Shafaqat Ali was removed at first revision stage and then reinstated at third revision. No satisfactory explanation was given for these changes, either during the peer review process or post publication, nor were they approved by the editor. These authorship changes breach the policies of the journal and as a result, the editor no longer has confidence in this paper and is retracting it. The journal apologises for not having identified the problematic authorship change during the review process and for any resulting inconvenience.
