Abstract
This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier policy on Article Correction, Retraction and Removal (https://www.elsevier.com/about/policies-and-standards/article-withdrawal). This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor. Post-publication, an investigation, prompted by concerns raised on PubPeer (https://pubpeer.com/publications/32AAF69E4D80ECB4FEC3AA7BC8C3BA), identified issues regarding the authenticity and reliability of the FTIR spectra presented in Figure 5. Specifically: Several spectra appear unusually flat with negligible baseline noise between approximately 1650–3000 cm⁻¹ , which is atypical of raw experimental data. The authors were asked to provide the original, unprocessed FTIR instrument files, any available replicate spectra, and a technical explanation (including instrument settings and data-processing steps), but were unable to supply the original data and the explanations provided did not satisfactorily resolve the concerns. Given the inability to verify the underlying data and the unresolved questions about the integrity of the figure, the Editor has determined that the findings of the article cannot be relied upon and has decided to retract the article.
