Retraction notice to “Green extraction technologies: process systems, techno-economic and lifecycle analyses” [Cleaner Eng. Technol. Available online 6 (2025), 100881] (Cleaner Engineering and Technology, (S2666790825000047), (10.1016/j.clet.2025.100881))

This paper was retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief. Following a whistle-blower complaint, an investigation indicated that Fig. 10 of this article was plagiarized from Fig. 4 of a previous article (https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlelanding/2024/su/d4su00027g). The authors simply copied the figure results and replaced some items, but the arrows and links to SDGs were completely the same as that in the previous paper. Also, the items did not match the main text. All authors were contacted for an explanation. The first author Usman Bello responded to the emails, but failed to provide a satisfactory explanation. Other authors, including the corresponding author Nurul Aini Amran, did not respond. Therefore, the editors have lost confidence in the results presented in this paper and decided that the article should be retracted.
