Abstract
Anomalies in the transport properties on RNi5 single crystals are presented. These anomalies are characterized by the appearance of a peak, in some cases, and hysteresis in the electrical resistivity just below the Curie temperature. A qualitative analysis suggests that these features could be correlated with spin fluctuations in these compounds. The presence of two crystalline-electric-field levels close to each other as the lowest-energy states and the nature of these levels could play a crucial role in these phenomena.
