Abstract
Numerous interconnected systems in the world today rely on a dependable power supply to operate efficiently. The health industry is not an exception; however, the effect that power interruptions have on people's health is not well recognized. Climate change and fuel shortages are making outages more common and more severe. This paper offers a grid-connected micro-grid for hospitals that optimizes the robustness of a host critical facility under a variety of conditions by optimizing the dispatch of photovoltaics with energy storage and diesel generators. The REopt lite tool was utilized to resolve the optimization problem and resiliency analysis. The proposed micro-grid can withstand 200h of an outage at a specific time and 150h of an outage at any time in a year at 50% critical load. Micro-grids are thought to be a possible way to deal with big blackouts because they can perform on their own and have the potential to keep using renewable energy. This work facilitates sustainable development of hospital microgrid with critical loads under big blackouts.
