Abstract

Dehumidification of air is a widely used industrial process. It can be achieved by liquid absorbents and solar energy can be used for regenerating the absorbent solution. Laminar forced flow regenerator is superior to a wind forced regenerator over a wide range of solution flow rates. Also, it eliminates the drawbacks of wind forced regenerator. Optimum solution flow rates have been computed for differential initial solution temperatures.
