Abstract

In this paper, a dual-band multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna system based on Fabry-Perot (FP) cavity has been proposed. Partially Reflective Surface (PRS) with phase gradient is placed over a 2-elements MIMO antenna to reduce the Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC). The design operates at sub 6-GHz 5G frequency bands of 2.8 GHz and 5.6 GHz. Using the proposed approach, the maximum achieved reduction in ECC is 73.4% while an increase of 1.3 dB in antenna gain is found at both frequencies.
