Abstract
Research in the field of the reactors and procedures used in the environmental remediation, especially water treatment, has been an area of extensive and diverse activity with an extensive range of suspended and fixed bed column-based configurations being investigated. This chapter introduces the reactors and procedures used for environmental remediation, especially water treatment by adsorption, membrane separation, photocatalysis, and others using nanomaterials. Hybrid water treatment systems such as photocatalytic membrane reactors and photoelectrochemical reactors were also discussed.
