Abstract

The transport properties of spin-polarized and spin-entangled electrons for a beam-splitter configuration with a local Rashba spin-orbit (s-o) interaction were studied. Current noise for leads with one and with two channels was calculated. The results show that Rashba s-o (interband) coupling strongly modulates current and shot noise for spin-polarized and entangled electrons in a beam-splitter geometry.
