Abstract

This chapter defines quantum data centers and details how they leverage quantum mechanics to surpass traditional computing systems in processing speed, storage capacity, and energy efficiency. Despite facing technological hurdles such as the necessity for ultra-low temperatures and sophisticated error correction mechanisms, quantum data centers are depicted as having the potential to greatly improve computational efficiency and reduce energy consumption over the long term.
