Abstract

This chapter introduces and explains the concept of quantum as a service, a novel cloud-based quantum computing paradigm. It describes how this service allows users to perform computations that surpass the capabilities of classical computers without the need for direct hardware investments. The chapter underscores the transformative impact that quantum as a service could have across various industries, particularly through enhanced computational capabilities for complex simulations in fields like cryptography and material science.
