Abstract

This work gives a rheological study of the flow structure generated by an anchor agitator completely submerged in a cylindrical tank with a flat bottom. To better understand the phenomenon of the fluid mechanics that takes place in the agitated medium, several geometric configurations of anchor have been realized. The investigation of the flow generated was made by using the CFX.12 calculation code, which provides a very good visualization of the phenomenon of fluid mechanics. The results obtained from our work can be very supportive to the existing similar models in the literature, which can mature the knowledge and understanding of researchers on the behaviors of various anchor impellers.
