N2 - The last decade, the use of geophysical surveys prior to completion of the initial subsurface monitoring and characterization for constructing wind parks, is very common. Geophysical models can provide critical, valuable, accurate and reliable information concerning the status of the ground on the site where the wind turbine are going to be founded and such information can be used by the engineers in the most appropriate and cost-effective way. This paper presents the use of surface wave method for the exploration of the subsurface in order to define the optimum places for wind turbine foundation.
