Abstract
Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) were produced by using anthocyanin dye of blackberry and the commercial dye designated as Ruthenium complex, N719 dye. After manufacturing, the DSSCs were tested under simulated AM 1.5 solar illuminations. The observed power conversion efficiency for the DSSC based on anthocyanin dye was 0.004025% whereas efficiency for the DSSC based on N719 dye was 0.08%.Though the efficiency of anthocyanin dye is lower than N719 dye, anthocyanin dye is cheaper than N719 dye in some country where blackberry is inexpensive.
