Abstract

•A new correlation for oil-water flow mixture viscosity for low viscosity oils.•This correlation showed good agreement with the experimental data from this study and from other reported works.•Oil-water pressure drop behavior and flow pattern for low viscosity oils.•The pressure drop and inversion point were investigated at different oil fraction.•Pressure drop reduces as the oil fraction approaches inversion point.
