Abstract

Radioindium imaging (In-111-oxine-white blood cells), performed in a massively obese male, revealed a pattern of activity that was thought to represent a ptotic colon. The patient was restudied with Ga-67 citrate and a similar anterior pattern of activity was noted. On the lateral view of the abdomen, markers established that the activity was external to the abdominal cavity. This corresponded to an active panniculitis which was successfully
