Abstract
In this paper, an optimal output feedback controller is designed by means of genetic algorithms (GA). Using GA, different objective functions and different output feedback structures can be considered. The proposed approach algorithm is applied to an AC/DC power system. Simulation results show that the proposed controllers result in significant improvement of the dynamic performance of the interconnected system.
