Abstract
An optimal multilevel control approach - as applied to Large Scale Dynamic Systems (LSDS) - is presented. A feasible decomposition technique is adopted to uncouple the interacting subsystems. To achieve a global solution, the coordination process is carried out using a conjugate gradient technique especially adapted for such class of problems. The proposed method proves to be most powerful in computational efforts with quadratic convergence that can be achieved in a finite number of steps. Theoretical investigations are supported by a typical system application.
