Optical and infrared studies of sodium‐ditellurate glasses containing chromium oxide

Abstract

Spectroscopic studies of sodium‐ditellurate glasses containing chromium oxide reveal that non‐bridging oxygen present in pure sodium‐ditellurate glass is unaffected by the addition of Cr2O3 in small quantities. This observation is in agreement with the similar studies reported earlier for Fe2O3 doped sodium‐disilicate and sodium‐digermanate glass systems.
