Abstract
In applying the charge simulation technique (CST) for calculating the ionized electric field, the space charges are replaced by fictitious discrete charges. Locations of these charges represent singularity points in evaluating the potential and electric field there. In this paper a method was proposed for calculating the potential and electric field at those singularity points. The proposed method had been applied to analyze the ionized electric field problem in the parallel plate geometry whose analytical solution is known. The calculated potential and field values agreed very well with those obtained analytically. This supports how well the CST works in solving the ionized field problem.
