Abstract
A gigantic sized (total length 800 mm) specimen of Lepidion inosimae (Günther, 1887) was collected in a bottom trawl operated at bathyal depth (1330–1360 m) off the Southwest coast of India. The present study discloses the first distribution record of this very rarely reported deep-sea cod from the Northwestern Indian Ocean, with its morphometric and meristic features.
