Abstract

Modeling of Cellular pathways is marred by the fact that the values of the model parameters vary in a wide range. In contrast, binary state space models of the cellular pathways do not need such parametrization. For such binary state space models controller design framework is required. Recently proposed semi-tensor product (STP) approach shows great promise in this regard. Based on that approach, the authors have proposed Controller/Intervention design for the joint cellular pathway of Wnt and Cell Cycle. Wnt pathway plays critical role in cell growth and differentiation. Its aberration may lead to cancer. However, the proposed intervention approach assumes the knowledge of all the states of the model. The current work ventures at the estimation of these state variables in a binary state space framework. It is shown that the designed and implemented Luenberger like observer tracks Wnt pathway states with high fidelity.
