Abstract
Remanufacturing is the process of restoring used products, to a condition that is equal to or better than their original state, thereby minimizing waste and reducing carbon footprints. The process involves various steps, such as sorting, disassembly, cleaning, inspection and rebuilding. While disassembly is easy enough with mechanical fasteners, it's more problematic with press fits.
