Abstract
The synthesis of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)-graft-dendritic polystyrene (PS) by free radical polymerization was investigated. Gel permeation chromatography-MALLS analysis showed an increased molecular weight of the graft copolymers as the molecular weight of the dendritic macromonomers increased. Nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of the insoluble portion demonstrated the presence of dendritic PS as evidenced by the resonance in the aromatic region.
