Abstract

A comparative study was conducted to measure turbulence parameters and to evaluate some of the velocitybias correction techniques in the near field of a turbulent freejet. The overall objective of this investigation was to develop a reliable technique for obtaining nonintrusive measurements of the mean flow velocity components and turbulence and to construct a complete set of data in the developing region of a turbulent freejet.
