Abstract

A discussion about multiple wave scattering from fractal aggregates was presented. These waves create spurious resonances in the high-frequency part of the wave-field's Fourier spectrum. It was showed by a probabilistic convolutional model that for extended fractal media with strong scattering cross-section, multiple scattering affected the value of fractal dimension estimated from the wave-field's Fourier power spectrum.
